Christmas Index
Our primary fundraising project is for the Colchester Christmas Index Program. Our foundation, and all the families needing help at Christmas, appreciate your support and willingness to help make Christmas brighter for children in our community.
Christmas Index has been helping Colchester county families at Christmas time for over 50 years. Our Christmas Program exists to help families at Christmas time that may be facing financial challenges and stressful situations. We understand there isn’t always extra money for special occasions like Christmas.
Christmas Index is a cooperative effort of groups and individuals in Colchester County dedicated to providing assistance for those in need at Christmas time. The objective is to ensure those needing assistance receive it. The ultimate goal would be to have each family that requires assistance be matched to a group, family or individual.

How Does The Program Work?
First a list of sponsors is compiled, organizations, individuals and families indicate to the Christmas Index Program how they wish to help. You can help as a sponsor for a family(ies), as a donor of new toys or new clothes or as a financial donor. Then a list of those in need is compiled through an application process.
Next families in need are matched with a sponsor and the sponsor is notified of this match at the earliest possible date to allow for enough time for planning. Family sponsors prepare Christmas baskets for their families. Sponsors make arrangements with their sponsored families to delivery the Christmas Baskets in time for Christmas!
